EBSCO Faculty Select

Faculty Select is a single, easy-to-use interface, where you can easily find and access quality Open Educational Resources (OER) to support your courses, and search and request access to relevant e-books from top academic publishers. Watch a tutorial video here.

EBSCO Faculty Select is only available for use by instructors. A link can be found in the Academic Reference Room. The path is as follows:

*MIT OpenCourseWare 

MIT OpenCourseWare makes the materials used in the teaching of almost all of MIT's subjects available on the Web, free of charge. With more than 2,400 courses available, OCW is delivering on the promise of open sharing of knowledge

OAIster® database

OAIster is a union catalog of millions of records that represent open access resources. This catalog was built through harvesting from open access collections worldwide using the Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting (OAI-PMH). Today, OAIster includes more than 50 million records that represent digital resources from more than 2,000 contributors.

Oasis (Geneseo) 

Openly Available Sources Integrated Search (OASIS) is a search tool that aims to make the discovery of open content easier. OASIS currently searches open content from 98 different sources and contains 368,237 records.  OASIS is being developed at SUNY Geneseo's Milne Library.

From a single point of access in OER Commons, you can search, browse, and evaluate resources in OER Commons' growing collection of over 50,000 high-quality OER. Here are some curated collections to start exploring:

  • Full university courses
  • Interactive mini-lessons and simulations
  • Adaptations of existing open work
  • Open Textbooks
